Yodkhonpol Sitmonchai is a young up & coming fighter on the Lumpinee Stadium circuit. Here are his two most recent fights at Lumpinee, both impressive performances. This was an impressive first round knockout.

There was news prior to the fight that large wagers were placed on the fight by Somluck, amongst others. Yodkhonpol Sitmonchai made a strong statement in this fight with a great ko.

Here is Yodkhonpol (Muu’s) most recent fight against Tingtong at Lumpini Stadium last Friday July, 27th.  A lot of good back and forth action in this fight.  I trip out on how tough these guys are. They both get hit with a lot of hard shots, the kind where the sweat is flying everywhere when they get hit. The next stop for the young man is the Lumpinee title.

They’ve been trying to make it happen for a while but injuries, and other things have restricted it from happening sooner. Both ladies are not only extremely talented fighters but smart, and beautiful as well. Killers in the ring, but elegant out in public. Both ladies seem very much different. To the guys out there, which of these two beautiful ladies is more your type?

K-1 Rising 2012 Tryouts– Venice Beach

In the wake of an incredibly successful K-1 Open Tryouts event, Doug Kaplan, Chief Executive Officer for K-1 Kickboxing, poured through the scorecards ranking all the Hopefuls who showed up that day. He sifted through them one by one, looking at the numbers and notes. “We have to do these Callbacks as soon as possible, there are some guys here who could fight in our US Grand Prix Championships September 8 at the LA Sports Arena,” Kaplan says to Masato, Executive Producer for K-1.

Kaplan was the man sitting front and center amid the row of judges at the tryouts. He watched every participant try out for the organization that day. He is the man in charge of it all, and the one who intends to bring K-1 kickboxing back to the fans and make it as popular in America as it is in Japan, China and across Europe.
As he watched each fighter take the stage, he was filled with respect. Every Hopeful gave it everything, some to the point of sheer exhaustion.

New Australian  Muay Thai TV show  capturing the lives of Muay Thai fighters. Fighters discuss their past, how Muay Thai saved their lives, and their passion for the sport. Go behind the scenes, and see the types of injuries these fighters sustain. Check out the damage done to the leg from constantly being kicked over, and over again Ouch! it hurts just looking at that.

As you will see, to be a Muay Thai fighter you have to have ice in your veins, and these guys have it. You have to train all the time, and make many sacrifices to compete at the top level.

I was happy to see Thai fighter Pen-ake Sitnumnoi from Singpatong Gym in Phuket is in this show. It’s good to see Thai fighters featured as well. Make sure to check out their facebook page for all the latest details regarding the show.

Xplosion Fight Series

Thanks Muay Thai is Life for letting us know that this fight is now on youtube. This ended up being a controversial decision with many feeling that Steve Wakeling won the decision. See for yourself & give us your opinion in the comments section. Artem Levin currently holds the WBC light heavyweight WBC World Title. Many of us were looking forward to seeing Artem Levin defend that title against Simon Marcus at “Battle of the Belts” in Thailand, but the fight never happened.

From what I heard, it was due to Artem recovering from an injury. Hopefully that fight will happen soon. It’s one that I for one would really like to see. Vinny “Showtime” Shoreman is commentating during this fight so enjoy friends!
